Queen's University Belfast was established under Royal Charter in 1908 and is one of the longest established universities in the UK, ranked 202 in the world (QS World University Rankings 2023). Today, it is part of the prestigious Russell Group of research-intensive UK universities and has a global reputation for teaching and research excellence. Queen’s University is a world-class institution that combines excellent academic standards with a focus on employability to give graduates an edge in the global job market.

There are over 215 student-led clubs and societies on campus; while a £20 million sports investment has helped establish Queen's with a reputation as one of the premier sporting universities in the UK and Ireland.
Queen's offers a network of support services, many provided by our Student Guidance Centre to help students get the most from their time. Their counselling and disability support is amongst the best in the UK.
